A mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping across the Rangpur division and the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, and Chuadanga, with the potential to spread further.
The lowest temperature recorded today was 5.8°C Celsius in Tetulia, Panchagarh, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department’s (BMD) weather forecast for Friday.
The BMD forecasts moderate to thick fog across the country from midnight until morning, with the possibility of it persisting until noon in some areas. Air navigation, inland river transport, and road communication may be disrupted due to thick fog.
Regarding temperatures, the BMD predicts that night temperatures may drop by (1-2)°C, with a slight decrease in daytime temperatures across the country.
