The judgment in a case lodged over the murder of Sagira Morshed in capital's Bailey Road area in 1989 will be announced today (13 March).
Dhaka Special Sessions Judge Mohammad Ali Hossain will deliver the verdict on Wednesday (March 13).
Judge Mohammad Ali Hossain was scheduled to deliver the judgment on February 20 but the date was pushed back to Mar 13 as the judge was on leave.
As the verdict had not been prepared on time, Judge Hossain had earlier on February 8 postponed the decision until February 20.
The accused in the case are Sagira's brothers-in-law Dr Hasan Ali Chowdhury, 71, and Anas Mahmud Rezwan, 60, sister-in-law Sayedatul Mahmuda alias Shaheen, 65, Maruf Reza, 60, and Montu Mandal alias Mintu.
Anas and Maruf are currently in jail, but the others have been granted bail.
Sagira Morshed, 34, was gunned down by unidentified muggers in front of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College in the capital's Bailey Road on July 25, 1989.
