At least four people were killed when a truck carrying fish overturned in Elliotganj of Cumilla on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway. The accident also left three people injured.
The incident occurred at around 6am on Tuesday (12 March), Elliotganj Highway Police Station Officer-in-charge Monjurul Alam Munna said.
"A truck carrying fish from Noakhali to Dhaka hit a truck standing on the side of the road in Belashwar area of Chandina and overturned. Four workers on top of the truck were crushed and died on the spot," he added.
The bodies have been kept in the police station, the official further said.
The injured were first taken to Chandina Upazila Health Complex and later to Dhaka for advanced treatment.
