Twenty-nine new members of Myanmar's Border Guard Police have fled to Bangladesh in the face of attacks by the country’s rebel group, the Arakan Army.

They entered Bangladesh this afternoon by crossing the border under the surveillance of Jamchari BOP, within Naikhongchhari BGB's Battalion (11 BGB), according to a source at the border force.

The fleeing BGP members were deployed in Angthapaya Camp in Myanmar.

Earlier, on February 15th, Bangladesh repatriated 330 Myanmar troops, including military members, GBP officers, and customs officers, who had fled to Bangladesh amidst the ongoing civil war between the Junta and rebel groups.
