Five lawyers have been arrested in connection with a case filed over the election-related violence that took place on the High Court premises.
The Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested them from various places in the capital, including Banani, after conducting a covert investigation into the case filed with Shahbag police station.
DMP Additional Commissioner (Detective) Mohammad Harun Or-Rashid disclosed this at the Minto Road DB office in the capital on Saturday (March 9th).
He said, "No one is above the law, no matter how influential or powerful."
The accused lawyers are Kazi Bashir Ahmed, Advocate Tushar, Advocate Tariqul, Advocate Suman, and Advocate Usman.
