Ruposhi Bangla, Sea Princess in Cox's Bazar fined for unhygienic kitchens

Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) on Thursday raided Ruposhi Bangla Restaurant and The Sea Princess Hotel near Sugandha point in Cox's Bazar.

A team from BFSA, led by Executive Magistrate Jinia Jinnat, imposed fines of Tk2 lakh on Ruposhi Bangla and Tk3 lakh on Sea Princess for breaching the regulations of the Food Safety Act.

Jinia Jinnat stated, "During the inspections, it was observed that the kitchens of both establishments were extremely unclean and untidy. Furthermore, the restaurant's refrigerator contained unlabeled stale food, and the kitchen was infested with cockroaches."

District Safe Food Officer Nazmul Islam, Inspector Zahur Lal Pal, and other relevant personnel were present during the inspections.
