US-Bangla Airlines, the country's private airline, will start offering daily direct flights from Dhaka and Chattogram to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on April 19.

Abu Dhabi will be US-Bangla's third destination in the United Arab Emirates, where it currently travels to Dubai and Sharjah.

The airline has decided to respond to the demand from Bangladeshi expatriates by offering flights to Abu Dhabi as part of its future goals.

US Bangla will fly on the Chittagong-Abu Dhabi route on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. The airline has planned direct flights between Dhaka and Abu Dhabi on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

The lowest one-way ticket price to go from Dhaka or Chittagong to Abu Dhabi is Tk 41,155, and the return ticket price is Tk 71,300.

Routes to Abu Dhabi are expected to be flown by Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Ticket sales launched simultaneously on Monday (4 March) across all US-Bangla distribution platforms.

The US-Bangla fleet now numbers twenty-three aircraft, including a 436-seat Airbus 330-300, nine Boeing 737-800s, ten ATR 72-600s, and three Dash8-Q400 variants.

Later this month, US Bangla plans to add another Airbus 330-300 to its fleet in order to facilitate services to Jeddah this year.

In addition to Dubai and Sharjah, US-Bangla currently operates flights to Muscat, Doha, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Male, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Kolkata, and Chennai.

Apart from its overseas destinations, US-Bangla also operates local flights, mostly from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar, Chattogram, Sylhet, Saidpur, Jashore, and Rajshahi.
