Polish man found dead in Chattogram’s Peninsula hotel

A Polish citizen was found dead at The Peninsula Chittagong hotel, situated at the GEC intersection of the port city, on Monday (4 March).

Police recovered his blood-stained body from room-905 of the hotel upon receiving information from the hotel authorities.

The man was identified as Zdzislaw Michal Czeryba, aged 58 years, according to the registrar book of the hotel, which also includes the name of his workplace – Canpark Garments of CEPZ.

Chattogram Metropolitan Police’s Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-South) Noble Chakma said, "The Polish citizen had injuries on his head and various parts of his body," suspecting that the man might have been murdered.

He said, "The hotel authorities informed the police station around 12:30 pm that a person in room 905 was unresponsive. Upon receiving this information, the police went to the spot and found him dead on one side of the bed after opening the door."
