Former Justice of the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court Zinat Ara has been appointed as the chairman of the Law Commission.
To this end, the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Law Ministry issued a notification on Wednesday.
Zinat Ara was the third female judge in the High Court Division and the second female judge in the Appellate Division.
Moreover, two separate notifications were issued appointing retired Justice Shamim Hasnain and Professor Dr. Naima Haque as members of the Commission.
According to the notices, their terms are set for three years.
