Bangladesh and India agreed that there is a need for establishing good relations with each other, said Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain. 

He discussed issues of mutual interest of the two friendly countries while holding a meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Hossain was briefing the media at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (1 October).

“Both Bangladesh and India have their respective interests. So, we spoke on this line,” said the Adviser.

Foreign Secretary Md Jashim Uddin and Director General (Public Diplomacy Wing) Toufique Hasan were also present.
