"Many areas of the Rangpur division, some parts of Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and isolated places in the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions, may experience temporary gusty winds along with light to moderate rain or thunderstorms," said BMD's latest weather update bulletin on Friday (27 September).
It further states that moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country.
Daytime and nighttime temperatures across the nation are expected to increase by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius.
The synoptic situation reveals that the extended part of the monsoon trough stretches from Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, through central Bangladesh to Assam, with another extension reaching the northern Bay of Bengal.
Monsoon is moderately active over Bangladesh and has a medium influence over the northern Bay of Bengal.
