A low-pressure system has formed over the west-central Bay of Bengal and nearby areas, said the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
Additionally, the monsoon winds remain moderately active over Bangladesh and in a medium state over the northern Bay of Bengal.
In light of these conditions, BMD has forecast rain or thunderstorms for all regions of the country.
This information was provided in a weather bulletin issued by the department on Monday (23 September), covering the next 24 hours from 9:00am.
According to the report, many areas in the Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, along with several parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Sylhet divisions, are likely to experience light to moderate rain or thunderstorms, accompanied by temporary gusty winds.
Some regions may also witness moderate to heavy rainfall during this period. This trend of storms and heavy rain could persist for several days.
In addition, the daytime and nighttime temperatures across the country may drop by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius on Monday.
