The government has appointed journalist, writer and poet Faruk Wasif as director general (DG) of the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) for two years.
The public administration ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Wednesday (18 September).
According to the official order, Faruk Wasif has been appointed to the post on the condition that he will have to leave working relations with other organisations.
