Journalists Shyamal Dutta and Mozammel Haque Babu have been detained in Dobaura border area under Mymensingh district on Monday (16 September) morning.
Dobaura Police Station OC Chan Miah said the local people detained four people in the border area located between South Maizpara and Porakandulia while fleeing to India by a private car at 6:00am.
The detainees are - Ekattor TV Editor-in-Chief and CEO Mozammel Haque Babu, Dainik Bhorer Kagoj Editor Shyamal Dutta, Ekattor TV Senior Reporter Mahbubur Rahman (Jameson Mahbub) and the driver of the private car.
Later, the locals handed them over to Dobaura Police Station, said OC Chan Miah.
The police official also said that further legal measures are under process in the incident.
